In Excel, there is a “camera” function, but almost 80% of people who use Excel do not know this very effective “photography” tool, let alone use it.
I have been in contact with Excel for many years, but only recently because of work needs, I have just come into contact with this “camera”. Now I write down how to use it. One is that I am afraid that I will forget it after a long time – a good memory is not as good as a bad writing (oh, now It should be changed to say: a good memory is not as good as a bad keyboard!); Second, it may be needed by others and can be used as a reference.
In Excel, if we need to synchronously reflect the changes of another page in one page, we generally use paste links and other methods to achieve this. However, if there is a lot of content to be reflected, especially when the format of the target location must also be reflected, the method of connecting data will not work.
Fortunately, there is no way out. Excel has already prepared a “camera” for us. You only need to “photograph” the part of the content that you want to reflect, and then paste the “photo” to other pages.
Note: It is indeed an image file that is automatically updated synchronously. The data and format will be updated synchronously. At the same time, you can use the “Picture” toolbar to edit this photo.
And since this is a picture, in addition to Excel, of course, it can also be pasted in Word, PPT, or the drawing tool that comes with Windows accessories, and of course it can also be edited in software such as PhotoShop.
Here’s how to use this camera:
First, prepare the “camera”
1. Open Excel’s “Tools” menu and select the “Customize” dialog box.
2. Click the “Command” tab, select “Tools” in the “Category”, find “Photography” in the “Command” list on the right, and drag it to any position on the Excel page toolbar. Many people are not familiar with this step, you must try it yourself. (Open the “Toolbar” in Excel2007, find “Camera” in “Commands not in the Ribbon”, and click “Add” to use it.)
3. Take a picture of the target
Suppose we want to make some content in Sheet2 automatically appear in Sheet1.
1. Drag the mouse and select the content that needs to be “photographed” in Sheet2. This step is very important. It must be selected correctly. If you do not choose or choose the wrong one, your “photos” will be ridiculous.
2. Click the “Camera” button prepared on the toolbar with the mouse, so the selected area is “photographed”.、
Paste the “photo”
1. Open the Sheet1 worksheet.
2. Click the left button of the mouse at the position where the “photo” needs to be displayed, and the “photograph” that was “photographed” will be pasted immediately.
Adjust the various formats of “Photo” in Sheet2, the content pasted in Sheet1 changes synchronously, and because the inserted image file is indeed an automatically updated image file, the “Picture” toolbar is also valid for this photo, Photos can also be rotated, zoomed, and dragged freely.
4. Cancel the photo paste function
If you have finished taking pictures and want to cancel the photo pasting function, just click the “Camera” button on the toolbar again with the mouse, and the pictures you just “take” will be canceled and will not be pasted again.
