How to make the video play automatically in PPT?
PowerPoint has various options for setting up video playback. In this article, I will show you how to autoplay videos on PowerPoint. You can find detailed instructions in the article “How to embed a video in PowerPoint“.
When you might need to use autoplay videos in PowerPoint:
When you use a video as an animated background. You can place the video in the bottom layer or in the master slide and it will automatically play whenever the mouse clicks on the slide element.
When video is an important informational component of your PPT slides and you don’t want users to ignore it.
What types of videos can you play with autoplay? You can add video files from your computer or insert online videos with links to sources such as YouTube or Vimeo.
1.Click the video you want to play automatically. The campaign video will highlight white marketing around the edges.
If you can’t click to select a video, it means the video has a master slide added. To edit, go to the top menu and click View > Slide Master. Find the master slide that contains the desired video.
2.When a video is selected, additional items Video Format tab > Playback will appear in the top menu bar.
3.Under the Playback tab, find the Start button. From the drop-down list, select the “Automatic” option. Your video will now play automatically when the slideshow is displayed.

You can use the advanced video settings for the best presentation. Click the Playback tab in the Playback Settings section.
“Volume” – controls the volume of the video. For example, when using a video as a background, it is recommended that you use the Mute list option to completely mute the audio track. This feature does not work with videos inserted from YouTube or Vimeo.
“Play in Full Screen” – This feature will expand the video to full screen even if the video size in the video settings is different. That is, when you go to an autoplay slideshow like this, the video will go full screen.
“Hide during Show” – Hide the video completely after the presentation. This is useful if you want to use one slideshow to display both video and related content. This feature does not work with videos inserted from YouTube or Vimeo.
“Loop Until Stopped” – Option to play video “infinitely”. Playback will resume as soon as the video ends. This option does not apply to videos inserted from YouTube or Vimeo.
“Rewind After Play” – After playback, the video will rewind to the beginning. However, when this option is enabled with “Auto”, the video will only play once. This feature does not work with videos inserted from YouTube or Vimeo.
In video demo mode, you can use the hotkey Ctrl + Space to pause/play, or Esc to exit demo mode.
The “Bookmark” feature for adding mileage points to a timeline video does not fully work in autoplay mode.

The basic tools of MS PowerPoint already include default video tools, you do not need to use additional software.
