Microsoft Word Split Cells
We will learn how to split table cells in Word 2010. Microsoft Word allows a cell to be split into multiple cells. We will see how to split a cell into multiple smaller sub-cells.
Microsoft Word Split Cells
The following steps will help you to split a cell into two sub-cells for tables available in Word documents.
Step 1 – Position the mouse pointer inside a cell that must be divided into multiple cells.

Step 2 – Now click on the “Layout” tab and then click on the “Split Cells” button; this will bring up a dialog asking how many rows and columns to create from the selected cells.

Step 3 − Select the desired number of rows and columns that must go into the result cell, and finally click the OK button to apply the result.

You can divide a cell into multiple cells by row or column or both.
